| The Irving Marcus Company was
founded in 1933 by my Grandfather Irving. It began as a
butcher supply company. Irving set the standard by which we
still operate. The absolute best service, lowest prices and
highest quality products. After Grandpa Irving's sudden passing,
his son and my father, Arnold, took over. He greatly expanded the business
to include serving restaurants, caterers, pizzerias, delis, Kings
Supermarkets and Shop Rite Supermarkets. When some of our
customers began migrating down south and to Pennsylvania, they
stayed with us. As a result, we expanded our service beyond
New Jersey and New York to include Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia,
North Carolina and South Carolina.
Arnold retired a few years ago and handed
the business off to his son, Greg. The third generation took
the 21st century step of launching our web site
Spiceline, and further expanded our service to include jails, hospitals and
manufacturers. Due to the success of our web site, we now
serve all 50 United States of America as well as Canada, Europe,
Asia, and Australia.
About our
Website
Some years ago we made a business decision
to make our web site simple, straightforward and very user friendly.
We could have spent thousands on a very fancy, state of the art site
with all the bells and whistles we've all become accustomed to.
We decided instead to use that savings to cover a large portion and
sometimes all of the shipping costs to help save our customers
money.
By controlling our costs in this way we can
offer our customers the absolute lowest prices without at all
sacrificing the highest quality of our products. Throughout
the years we have developed long term relationships that form our
network of procurement and distribution assuring you will receive
your order in a timely fashion and to your satisfaction. The
fact that we are a family business insures that you will get
personalized service and will be dealing with the owner of the
company. We take great pride in being in business for over 77
years through all the turmoil of wars and recessions. Please
let us show you why.
We look forward to serving you.
Sincerely, Greg
